A grand spiritual celebration was held on Wednesday at the newly built Shree Shree Gaura Nitai Mandir in Mayapur, Nadia, to commemorate the 84th Appearance Day and Vyasa Puja of the Founder Acharya of the Gaudiya Vaishnava Association, His Divine Grace Bhakti Swarup Tirtha Maharaj. On this auspicious occasion, attended by numerous disciples, devotees, and well-wishers from India and abroad, a modern Guest House and Gopal’s Prasadam Hall & Restaurant were formally inaugurated.
The temple premises remained immersed in a devotional atmosphere throughout the day. The celebrations included Guru Puja, special arati, scriptural recitations, Harinama Sankirtan, bhajans, spiritual discourses, and the distribution of maha-prasadam, all held to honour His Divine Grace Bhakti Swarup Tirtha Maharaj’s 84th Appearance Day. Devotees paid heartfelt tributes to Gurudev, remembering his exemplary life, selfless devotional service, and remarkable contribution to the propagation of Gaudiya Vaishnavism around the world.
Earlier, on June 29, the temple celebrated the Snana Yatra of Lord Jagannath. The same day also marked the 120th Appearance Day of Param Gurudeva Om Vishnupada Paramahamsa Parivrajakacharya 108 Shree Shreemad Bhakti Shreerup Bhagavat Goswami Thakura, the spiritual master of Founder Acharya His Divine Grace Bhakti Swarup Tirtha Maharaj.
According to the temple authorities, Mayapur receives a large number of pilgrims and devotees from across India and overseas throughout the year. The newly constructed guest house has been built to provide comfortable accommodation for the growing number of visitors. In addition, Gopal’s Prasadam Hall & Restaurant will offer devotees and visitors pure vegetarian Vaishnava prasadam in a serene spiritual environment.
The temple management expressed confidence that these new facilities will significantly enhance the experience of pilgrims visiting Mayapur and contribute to the continued growth of religious tourism in the region. The inauguration of the guest house and prasadam hall on the 84th Appearance Day of His Divine Grace Bhakti Swarup Tirtha Maharaj is being regarded by devotees as a fitting tribute to his lifelong mission of devotional service, hospitality, and the promotion of Gaudiya Vaishnava culture.
