Debasish Biswas : Kolkata,18th. March 2021. The call of the Himalayas again. Preparing to venture again to respond that call. Once more in the same region of Mt. Everest. But this time it is not just a single peak. This time target is a series of five peaks – Mt. Mera (6,476m), Mt. Island (6,119m), Mt. Lobuche (6,189m), Mt. Lobuche East and Mt. Ama Dablam (6,812m).
My journey is going to start on Friday, March 19 by Kanchankanya Express at 8:30 pm from Sealdah Station. Will reach New Jalpaiguri Station by train as there is still no direct flight from Kolkata to Kathmandu.
From there I will enter Nepal by car. Then will fly to Kathmandu from Bhadrapur Airport near Kakarvita border. Due to Covid situation, I have to stay in quarantine at Kathmandu for six days. Then the expedition will start.
I will fly to Lukla from Kathmandu. Will first try to climb Mt. Mera.
Then one by one – Mt. Island, Mt. Lobuche and Mt. Lobuche East. At the end of the drive will be Mt. Ama Dablam. Seeking your good wishes and blessings.
