Empowerment Unfolds at Sorano: Celebrating Women Making Waves….

Staff Reporter : Kolkata,5th March 2024 – An evening of inspiration and empowerment unfolded at Sorano, an Italian fine dine restaurant on Ho Chi Minh Sarani, on 4th.March, 2024, as “Women Making Waves: Celebrating the Impact of Empowerment” took center stage at Sorano.


This extraordinary event brought together a gathering of trailblazing women whose courage, creativity, and compassion have shaped our world. From ground-breaking leaders to unsung heroes, the evening honoured those who have broken barriers and paved the way for positive change at Sorano.
The distinguished Chief Guest, Debashis Sen IAS ®, Former Additional Chief Secretary and Past CMD Hidco, lent his presence to the occasion, adding prestige to the celebration at Sorano.


In attendance were Dipannita Acharya, Acclaimed Folk Artiste; Urmila Sen, Professor and President of New Town Sarbojanin Durgotsav; Shatabdi Bhattacharjee, Principal of South City International School; Ruchika Gupta, Director of Sanmarg Newspaper; Mithu Monfakira Choudhuri from Srerampore, a Multidisciplinary Artiste; and Pritha Chatterjee, an Acclaimed Singer. Their stories of resilience and achievement echoed throughout the evening at Sorano.
Additionally, Reena Dewan, President of WICCI Art Life Council, and Paromita Ghosh, Vice President of WICCI Art Life Council, addressed the media, highlighting the importance of recognizing and empowering women in the arts at Sorano.


The event commenced at 4:30 PM on the 1st floor of Harrington Mansion, “Women Making Waves: Celebrating the Impact of Empowerment” served as a poignant testament to the transformative power of women’s voices and the enduring legacy of their contributions in our society.
