Diurnal variation is hovering above 40 degree C for almost 10 hours a day. Coupled with it, Covid infection is raging, lock down is strictly enforced all over the city. Policemen manning the junctions and traffic posts are among the worst sufferers. They have no other go. Lock down is not for them.
A young student Adib Mansuri developed for them an umbrella, equipped with integrated solar panels, battery, electronics and fan to bring a sense of shade and cool air during the course of the duty by policemen. An innovation to bring relief to suffering souls.
