MANAGEDIA 2026 KICKS OFF WITH A THUNDERING START AT iLEAD UNDER THE THEME “THE TAKEOVER”….

News Stardom : Kolkata, 11June, 2026: The Institute of Leadership, Entrepreneurship and Development (iLEAD) inaugurated its flagship annual management and cultural fest, Managedia 2026, with great enthusiasm and grandeur on June 2, 2026. This year’s edition, themed “The Takeover,” witnessed an electrifying opening ceremony, bringing together students, educators, industry leaders, and creative professionals from across the state. This colorful and high octane inter-college fest is scheduled from 2nd-5th June, 2026.

 

The inaugural ceremony was graced by distinguished guests including Ms. Alokananda Roy, eminent danseuse and exponent of Indian dance forms across multiple countries; Ms. Subhalaksmi Samanta, Founder of PrediQT and Vice President – Business at Rezolve AI; Dr. M.P. Rozario, Founder Member and Principal of St. Sebastian’s School, Kolkata; and Mr. Jimmy Tangree, Head of 91.9 Friends FM.

The event was hosted by Mr. Pradip Chopra, Chairman of iLEAD, and Ms. Pragya Chopra, Executive Director of iLEAD.

Addressing the gathering, Mr. Pradip Chopra elaborated on the significance of this year’s theme. He stated, “The Takeover is not merely about businesses taking over markets; it is about creative spirits taking over limitations. Let this be the season where your creativity takes over, helping you excel and emerge victorious in the numerous competitions that await you during the fest.”

Chief Guest Ms. Alokananda Roy praised iLEAD’s unique educational approach, emphasizing that the institution empowers students to transform their passions into meaningful careers. Encouraging participants to think beyond conventional boundaries, she urged them to unleash their imagination and embrace their creative potential. Dr. MP Rozario urged students to keep their competitive spirits on the top and irrespective of win or lose, what matters is the spirit to conquer.

Ms. Subhalaksmi Samanta highlighted the importance of balancing innovation with strategic planning. She advised students that while creativity and original thinking are essential, every idea must be supported by a clear roadmap and a well-defined vision of the desired outcome.

 

Speaking on the future of industry, Mr. Jimmy Tangree underscored the transformative role of Artificial Intelligence. He remarked that AI would be the cornerstone of success across sectors.

 

Managedia 2026 has commenced on an unprecedented scale, drawing participation from 73 colleges and universities and featuring over 60 competitive events spanning the domains of business, creativity, sports, fashion, science, and technology.

As the fest unfolds over the coming days, students will engage in a diverse array of contests, performances, exhibitions, and challenges designed to nurture leadership, entrepreneurship, talent, and creative excellence.

 

With a powerful theme, an inspiring line-up of speakers, and participation from institutions across the region, Managedia 2026 has set the stage for one of the most exciting and impactful editions of the festival to date. The organizing team for Managedia who have involved from start to finish are the student council of iLEAD, several student club members and their mentors.
