News stardom : Joka, 30th July 2025. Braithwaite & Co. Limited (BCL), a Miniratna-1 CPSE under the Ministry of Railways, observed World Hepatitis Day 2025 with a comprehensive Health Awareness and Screening programme in association with ESI Medical College & Hospital, Joka. The initiative, led by Shri P. K. Mishra, ED (HR, Admin, Security), aimed to raise awareness about Hepatitis, promote preventive care, and ensure early diagnosis.
The event was graced by Md. Asad Alam (CMD), Shri Sanjeev Rastogi, D(P), Shri R. Veerabahu, D(F), and senior officials. At Kolkata Works, a Hepatitis B screening was conducted for ESI-insured employees by a team of medical professionals, alongside a General Health Camp offering check-ups, consultations, and lifestyle counselling.
Eminent doctors Dr. Jayanta Karmakar, CMO and HoD of Emergency Medicine and Dr. Samir Chakraborty, Associate Professor, Department of General Medicine at ESI Hospital, Joka sensitized participants on early symptoms and healthcare responses. At Angus Works, under the guidance of Shri P. K. Sinha, GM (I/C), a parallel session was conducted where Dr. Rajashree, Assistant Superintendent, ESI Hospital, Gourhati, sensitized the employees.
BCL reaffirmed its commitment to employees well-being and public health through this impactful initiative.
