Staff Reporter : Kolkata, 27th January, 2026, the 77th Republic Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm, dignity, and patriotism at Braithwaite & Co. Limited. On this occasion, the Chairman and Managing Director of the company, Shri Naveen Kumar, hoisted the national flag at the head office premises and Victoria Works and addressed the officers and employees present.
In his address, Shri Naveen Kumar said that it is a matter of pride for all of us that India is among the few countries in the world known for its robust democratic system, growing economy, and values. He praised the excellent performance of the company in the past years and expressed confidence that Braithwaite & Co. Limited will achieve even better results in the future. He said that he is fully committed to taking the company to the highest level with the cooperation and collective efforts of the employees.
On this occasion, the Director (Finance) of the company, Mr. R. Veerabahu, paid tribute to the freedom fighters and nation-builders in his address and said that such national festivals provide us with an opportunity to remember the contributions of our ancestors. He said that as employees of a public sector undertaking, we all contribute to the progress of the nation through public service. He further added that the current financial year is going to be even better for the company compared to recent years, as the company has set a turnover target of ₹1,589 crore (approximately US$1.58 billion).
