The delectable dishes are made with special love, care, warmth and have managed to hold its forte in this fast growing industry of restaurants and cafes in the city. A humble beginning has now earned awe of many, and is now a name to reckon with in the food segment of Kolkata. Food, ambience and staff boast of a standard that one would love to flaunt. After conquering the hearts and souls of connoisseurs of quality food, Mitra Café opened its outlets in Bengaluru, Puri, Bhubaneswar ,Digha and Siliguri also in due course. Just before puja to ease the life of food connoisseurs of south Kolkata Mitra Cafe opened its new outlet just beside Patuli Thana. Varied foods have found their places in the Menu Card (Bengali, Indian, Chinese, Tandoor), enabling food lovers to choose from a wide array. Now Mitra Café is not just an eatery, but has become an emotional attachment of the residents of Kolkata, particularly Bengalees. Today it boasts of diverse cuisines, ranging from starters to main courses, including desserts, and also undertakes catering services for occasions. Mitra Café takes pride in associating itself with the upcoming Bengali movie Debi Chowdhurani lead cast by Mr. Prasenjit Chatterjee, Shrabanti Chatterjee and other eminent actors. The cast and crew of Debi Chowdhurani visited the Birati outlet of Mitra Café on 19 September, 2025 at 5pm. Superstar Prasenjit Chatterjee launched the special Debi Chowdhurani Thali, this will be available in several outlets of Mitra Cafe. He also launched the
much awaited online Mitra Café App on this very day. The Superstar said, “The century-old Pride of Bengal is an identity of Bengal and is sure to score more in future.” Mr. Tapash Roy, Managing Director of Mitra Café said, “Mitra Café is extremely happy to be associated with a Classic like Debi Chowdhurani, and will continue to do so in future too.”
The association of Mitra Cafe and Debi Chowdhurani based on the novel by eminent writer Bankim Chandra Chatterjee reckons the legacy of rich bengali culture for centuries. This puja
will herald rising of all devis through this association.
