Staff Reporter : kolkata, 9th. August, 2024. The Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu Museum of Baghbazar is proud to announce the celebration of its 5th Foundation Day on August 10, 2024. To mark this special occasion, the museum will host a one-day workshop on Gaudiya Nritya, a classical dance form from Bengal. The event will be held at the museum’s auditorium from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
- The workshop will be led by the eminent dancer and Professor Mahua Mukherjee, renowned for her contributions to Gaudiya Nritya, and accompanied by the esteemed vocalist Pt. Amitava Mukherjee. Both artists have made significant contributions to the preservation and promotion of traditional Indian art forms.
This celebration aims to honor the rich cultural heritage of Bengal and provide a platform for students, academicians, and art enthusiasts to deepen their understanding of Gaudiya Nritya. The workshop will offer participants a unique opportunity to learn from master artists, explore the intricacies of the dance form, and gain insights into its historical and cultural significance.
