CELEBRATING FREEDOM
News stardom : kolkata, 10th. August,2021. Shyam Sundar Co Jewellers is presenting a special souvenir coin to commemorate the 75th anniversary of Indian independence.
The souvenir coin commemorates the birth of free India on one side and celebrates the 75th anniversary of Indian independence on the other.
And the underlying thought is to ‘Celebrate Freedom’ in its true present-day context.
The ‘Celebrating Freedom’ commemorative coin was released, earlier today, by independent-minded film-maker Goutam Ghose – who has shown new direction to many a creative mind seeking to break free in the world of cinema – and danseuse-activist Alakananda Roy who has liberated many a troubled mind serving jail terms and life sentences for committing serious criminal offences.
“It gives me great pleasure to release this very special souvenir coin commemorating the birth of free India and celebrating the 75th anniversary of Indian indepence”, said Goutam Ghose – speaking extensively on the subject from his independent point of view – adding “More so, because ‘Celebrating Freedom’ comes with a lot of responsibility and needs to be properly understood”
“I am overjoyed to be here and be a part of ‘Celebrating Freedom”, said Alakananda Roy, “because we are surrounded by people who are chained to thoughts and fears that hold them back and prevent them from really breaking free and celebrating that freedom”, said Alakananda Roy – citing instances from her own experience – adding “And, with so much of work that needs to be done in liberating the mind and spirit of people, the call for freedom surely needs to be voiced, heard and celebrated – specially on such a landmark day”

The ‘Celebrating Freedom’ programme concluded with everybody standing up for a charged rendition of the national anthem.
