News Stardom : kolkata, 20th February, 2025. Dr. Madhumanjari Mandal, Principal of Scottish Church College, received the prestigious A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada Lifetime Achievement Award from Bhaktivedanta Research Center, Kolkata. The award was given by Dr. Sumanta Rudra, Dean Academics and Trustee BRC on 13.02.2026 in a small function at Scottish Church College. The award was given to Dr. Mandal for her tireless work towards uplifting the beacon of SCC. Under her able leadership the college secured ‘A’ grade in NAAC and was ranked twice amongst the top 100 colleges in India by NIRF. Her able leadership reflected in establishment of College Entrepreneurship Cell, Kathakali Debnath STEM Innovation and Incubation centre, Skill Development Centre under PBSSD, refurbishment of Ogilvie Hostel to an Academic building to highlight a few. Her tenure showcased various National and International linkages with IIT, IRMRI, Trinity University of Asia, Manila, Warsaw University, Poland to name a few. She has also established meaningful connection with Bhaktivedanta Research Center towards institution of A C Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada Award, digitisation of old and rare books, establishment of Darshan Eshana digital library, developing Abhay Charan De seminar hall and launching of platform for learning Bangla course online. All her initiatives have glorified the institution. “I have never thought of achieving anything for myself. But always enjoyed supporting others to achieve as a whole. I do not support the compartmentalization of goodness of work into small boundaries of religions. I believe in universal religion and Universal Brotherhood. I try to follow my Guru, Jesus who has taught us to identify the plants through their fruits. My dream is embedded in the Mission and Vision philosophy of Scottish Church College- Whole Person Education, which I firmly believe that students and staff members follow. I pledge to keep up my work towards fulfilment of my goal for this glorious and heritage institution “ Dr. Mandal said.
