Staff Reporter : Kolkata, 25thFebruary, 2025: Strengthening its commitment to community welfare, Merlin Group organized an eye check-up camp in Bishnupur, South 24 Parganas, benefiting over 400 villagers from Sukdebpur, Kriparampur, Chandi and Ramkrishnapur.
In association with Rotary Mahanagar Netralaya, five ophthalmologists conducted vision screenings, power assessments, and critical eye surgeries. Merlin Group also distributed prescription spectacles to over 275 villagers, enhancing their vision and awareness of eye healthcare.
Mrs. Seema Mohta, Director, Merlin Group, personally handed over the spectacles to the beneficiaries. She led efforts to educate the villagers on the importance of eye care and created awareness about eye healthcare by motivating them to use spectacles, and guiding them on the right usage of the spectacles. Under her leadership, the Group has been organizing these camps for the past four years.
“It is fulfilling to contribute to community well-being through our CSR initiatives,” she stated. “We will continue such meaningful efforts in the future.”
Under its CSR arm, Merlin I Am Kolkata, the Group has been actively involved in education, healthcare, environmental protection, cultural development, skill-building, and elderly care for over four decades. Its contributions have been recognized by The Times of India and The Millennium Post.
