Staff Reporter :  Kolkata, 1st September, 2024.  International Human Rights Organization, West Bengal Chapter Women Empowerment Wing organized a rally protesting the heinous crime committed in the R. G. Kar Medical College and Hospital premises, the rape and murder of the Post Graduate student doctor on the 9th of August 2024, also the slaughter of a pregnant elephant in Jhargram by officials is an unpardonable crime.

We feel the rise of such inhuman activities reflects a lot about how inconsiderate the society has become, as we grow more ‘civil’ their seems to be no control of aggression. The rally was organized to reflect on the mistakes of the common man and also the system we have voted for.
The rally was a humble one with members of the International Human Rights Organization and few eminent faces of the society.
The President of IHRO, West Bengal Chapter Shri Prasad Ranjan Das (Nephew of Deshabandhu Chittaranjan Das ) voiced out his concern for a civil society. The State General Secretary Shri Soumya Shankar Bose ( Great Grandson of Shri Rajsekhar Bose ) was also present, also with the state secretary Ms. Tiyasha Biswas also raised strongly the issue of animal welfare and the loss of empathy in society. The women empowerment head of West Bengal Chapter Ms. Moubani Sorcar ( Actress & daughter of World famous Magician  P. C. Sorcar Junior ) raised the issue of what the society was voting for, as security for women is fully missing with reoccurrence of rape.
