Indo-Bangladesh Joint Expedition 2023….

News Stardom : Kolkata, 20 June, 2023: Aarohan Wanderlust, the Adventure wing of the most renowned Aarohan Trust, Mountain lovers association Asansol and Howrah district mountaineers & trekkers association are pleased to announce the Indo-Bangladesh Joint Mountaineering Expedition 2023 to Mt. Lenin and other Peaks in Pamir Mountain Range, Kyrgyzstan. The expedition is scheduled to start from Kolkata Airport on 24th June, 2023 at 11:45 pm. The Team first will fly from Kolkata to New Delhi, then on 25th June will fly first to Almaty, Kazakhstan; then to Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. Team will be expected to reach Bishkek at 6:30 pm on 25th June.

The Team consists of 7 members – 5 from India and 2 from Bangladesh.
From India Debasish Biswas (Leader), Malay Mukherjee, Sourav Sinchan Mandal, Abhijit Roy & Kiran Patra (All renowned Mountaineers).
From Bangladesh Dr. Babar Ali (Doctor, Climber, Cyclist) & Tanvir Ahmed Shaon.

After reaching Kyrgyzstan, team will explore the country, travel different places, will interact with the locals to get familiar of their culture, food, customs, rituals etc.

The team will try as much exploration, hiking, climbing as possible during their tenure in Kyrgyzstan. The day wise programme is as follows:

Day 1-2. Kolkata to Delhi. Delhi to Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan via Almaty, Kazakhstan.
Day 3-6. Hiking Ala Archa National Park, Attempt Peak Vladimir Putin, Korona Peak in Kyrgyz Ala-Too mountain Range.
Day 7. Bishkek to Karakol (403 km by car).
Day 8 – 12. Hiking Karakol National Park, Attempt Boris Yeltsin Peak (Oguz-Bashi) in Terskey Ala-too Range.
Day 13. Karakol to Osh (762 km by car).
Day 14-15. Hiking Osh, Sulayman Mountain.
Day 16. Osh to Sari Tash via Taldik Tash on Pamir Highway.
Day 17. Sari Moughal to Tulpar Lake – Base camp “Achik-Tash”, 3600 m.
Day 18. Ascent to Petrovskogo peak.
Day 19. Hike to Camp 1 (4400 m). Overnight at Camp 1.
Day 20. Climb Uhin Peak (5130 m). Return Camp 1 (4400 m).
Day 21. Hike to Camp 2 (5300 m). Overnight at Camp 2 (5300 m)
Day 22. Hike to Camp 3 (6100 m).
Day 23. Ascent to Mt. Razdelnaya (6148 m). Descent to Camp 1 (4400 m).
Day 24. Ascent to Camp 2 (5300 m). Overnight at Camp 2.
Day 25. Ascent to Camp 3 (6100 m). Overnight at Camp 3.
Day 26. Summit day. Ascent to the Lenin Peak (7134 m). Descent and overnight at Camp 3. Day 27-29. Reserve day.
Day 30. Descent to Base Camp (3600 м).
Day 31-34. Transfer to Osh. Flight from Osh. Return to Delhi via Bishkek & Almaty.

Lenin Peak is at the border between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan in the Pamir mountain system. With its 7,134 meters the Lenin Peak is the highest mountain of the Trans-Alay mountain range.
The main difficulties that the climbers can face on the way to the top are the altitude, low temperatures and periods of bad weather.
