Independence Day Celebrations by ‘LIONS Club of Kolkata MAGNATES’….

News Stardom 17th. August, 2020. ‘Lions Club of Kolkata Magnates’ was an integral part of celebrations of 74th Independence Day. On 15th August, 2020, when entire India was revelling in the spirit of patriotism, ‘Lions Magnates’ continued their socio-cultural welfare activities in various parts of the city and suburbs.
A well-planned series of activities in Baruipur was executed by ‘Lions Club of Kolkata Magnates’ officials Guruji Sri Binoy Maharaj, Lipika Sen Chatterjee, Dr. Prasanta Bhattacharya, Biman Dutta, Dr. Manindra Nath Roy, Dr. Abhijit Chaudhuri, Sreemoyee Sonai Shastri and Dr. Arun Kumar.
The ‘Lions Magnates’ combined with a few renowned social welfare organizations like ‘Tarapith Tapabon’, ‘Baruipur Ichhapuran’, ‘Khardah Manan Welfare Society’. ‘Hindol Kasba’, ‘IBMS’, ‘Raj Dynamics’ and ‘Rotary Club of Calcutta Belvedere Gardens’.
The officials of these organizations hoisted the National Flag at ‘Baruipur New Age Society For All’.
‘Khardah Manan Welfare Society’ & other ‘Lions Magnates’ distributed sanitizers, essentials and food items amongst 75 children of the Home. The children, under the management of Alok Patra, presented a cultural program of song and dance.
Various dignitaries present on the occasion included South 24 Parganas Addtl. SP Sandip Mandal, Krishnendu Ghosh, Ashima Dey, Subroto Sarkar, Anupriya Das, Suparna Dasgupta, Abhijit Sen, Acharya Ranjitananda, Sanjib Singh, Shib Sankar Sarkar and others. Proper distancing and safety measures were adopted during the entire program, remarked Lipika Sen Chatterjee, Program Director, Lions Club of Kolkata Magnates.
‘Tarapith Tapabon’ officials, led by Guruji Sri Binoy Maharaj helped sanitization of 5 Thanas at Baruipur. The ‘Lions Magnates’, led by the eminent Rotarian doctors, distributed First Aid Kits, emergency medicines and Kit Bags to the officials of Baruipur Traffic Guard.
‘Khardah Manan Welfare Society’ distributed sanitizers & essentials amongst the Police personnel.
In a separate event at Hooghly, ‘Lions Club of Kolkata Magnates’ combined with ‘Bhabna Sanskritik Sangathan’, Bowbazar, Sheoraphuli to celebrate Independence Day. Distribution of Free Masks took place at the venue. Lion Magnate Rajshekkhar Banik felicitated Sri Shyamalendu Mukherjee, President, Bhabna. In yet another event at Barrackpore Police Post, Lion Magante Sarmistha Das felicitated Police personnel for their outstanding service during this pandemic situation.
