News Stardom : kolkata, 27th. September 2021. ‘Hindi Week-2021’ was celebrated at Braithwaite & Company Limited from 14th to 21st September 2021 under the Government Policy to promote Official Language Hindi and to generate interest in the use of Hindi amongst the employees of the Company. The concluding session of Hindi Week celebrations was held on 21 September 2021 at the Corporate Office. Hindi Poets of repute namely Shri Mrityunjay Kumar Singh (IPS), Prof. Ashutosh and Prof. Priyankar Paliwal graced the event. On behalf of Braithwaite, Shri Yatish Kumar (Chairman and Managing Director) adore the chair. Invited speakers in their address related to official language Hindi underlined the condition and direction of Hindi.
The program started with the lighting of the lamp by the guests, after which the Chief Works Manager Mr. Anil Kumar Shahi delivered the welcome address. Shri Priyankar Paliwal, spoke on the topic ‘Hindi Ka Paryavaran’. He said, “Language is the only medium of knowledge. He pointed that, more than 42% of the world’s languages, which are on verge of extinction, are a curse for humanity. Language is the root of society; so we all need to protect them.”
In his address on the topic ‘Current Education System: Review’, Prof. Ashutosh threw light on the ancient and new education system. He said, “Instead of raising question marks on the education system, we need to work towards redefining the education system with passage of time.”
Shri Mrityunjay Kumar Singh (IPS), delivered his speech on the topic ‘Regional Language Vs Hindi’. He Said, that it was not desirable to fight for regional and national languages. If we keep fighting for language, we will not be able to create ideas. Therefore, whether it is a national language or a regional language, they would survive only if they are liberal.’ He concluded his address with a self-composed Bengali poem. Shri Deepak Thakur recited a Hindi poem ‘Hindi ki Aakanksha‘ written by Shri. Pradyumna Kishore Mishra General Manager-(HR, Administration, Security).
Thanking the invited poets, Mr. Yatish Kumar, Chairman and Managing Director of the company said, “Such events increase the enthusiasm of speaking and listening to Hindi amongst the employees. The Organization has always been organizing such events for the promotion of Hindi and is committed to contribute in the upliftment of the language even further.”
The winners and participants of various competitions organized during Hindi week were felicitated in the program. In the program, Shri D.K. Gayen, Advisor (Projects), Shri. Rajneesh Arora, Advisor (Marketing) were present and the program was overwhelmingly attended by all sections of employees.
