News stardom : Kolkata, 22nd. February 2022: Prime Media and Entertainments launched their new event, Glam Face of Bengal which was hosted by Ushoshi Sengupta, former Ms. India Universe in the presence of actors Trina Saha and Neel Bhattacharya, Arijit Dutta, Aruna Arya Gupta, Antasheela Ghosh and other eminent personalities at Chapter 2 where volleyball team Kolkata Thunderbolts was the gift partner.
Glam Face of Bengal aspires to be a one-of-a-kind talent hunt platform for youngsters and help them achieve their dreams by providing them the opportunity to interact and train with superstars of Tollywood, supermodels and other entertainment industry veterans. They aspire to build the brand image of Bengal. Prime Media and Entertainments will conduct auditions and mini talent hunt competitions throughout the state concentrating on smaller towns such as Asansol, Kharagpur, Kalyani, Durgapur, Siliguri, as well as in Kolkata. They want Glam Face of Bengal to be representative of the state itself and therefore are taking a lot of care to source talent from all parts of the state.
Soumyasis Banerjee, Founder Director & CEO of Glam Face of Bengal and Prime Media and Entertainments said, “This event will act as a stepping stone for all the youngsters who aspire to build a career in the fashion and film industry. The platform will provide them expert guidance and supervision across all segments of the film industry. The aspirants are going to get a big movie break from here. This is something that has never happened in Bengal. The event acts as a catalyst to the aspirants to showcase their talent and gain momentum in making their presence prominent in Tollywood.”
The introduction of the core team was followed by a lamp-lighting ceremony, felicitation of the guests and launching Glam Face of Bengal officially.
Rajrup Biswas, the co-founder and chief curator of the event said, “It is very important to provide guidance to youngsters who want to come into the entertainment industry. I believe we will be able to do that through this initiative of ours.”
Aruna Arya Gupta, an Indian-American artist who was present at the event said, “I loved being here today. I think what they’re aiming to do is wonderful. This will really help young people to pursue their dreams.”
Actors Neel Bhattacharya and Trina Saha said, “We are glad to associate with such an event. When we came into the industry, there was nothing of this sort and a lot of us found it difficult to get a hang of things. We think this will encourage a lot of young talent to come into this field.”
Ushoshi Sengupta, who kept the audience enthralled with her interactive persona said, “I loved hosting this innovative event. Thanks to the organisers for coming up with such a concept.”
