Central Ayurveda Research Institute, Kolkata organized 2 days National level Workshop…..

News Stardom : kolkata, 23rd. March 2022. Central Ayurveda Research Institute, Kolkata, one of the leading Institutes under Central Council for Research in Ayurveda Sciences (CCRAS), Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India has organized 2 days National level Workshop on “Sustainable Maintenance of National AYUSH Morbidity codes and standardized Terminologies Electronic-Portal (NAMASTE) and Capacity Building Programme” on 22nd and 23rd March 2022 at Institute campus whereas participants from Odisha and different parts of West Bengal have attended with full enthusiasm.

The purpose of the workshop was to sensitize the AYUSH scholars, faculties and authorities to use the uniform disease coding system in AYUSH where Ministry of AYUSH has developed the dedicated portal on NAMASTE and more than 80 central government Institutes and hospitals are using the portal. All the participants were nominated by the Government Departments, College authorities or respective research councils.

The programme was organized in hybrid mode where few of the participants and speakers were on online. In the inaugural session, Dr. Yunish Munshi, Deputy Director In charge, RRIUM, Kolkata was gracefully present as chief guest whereas Dr. Debasish Ghosh, Asstt. Director (Ayurveda) and Dr. Asish Ghosh, Asstt. Director ( Homoeopathy) from the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Government of West Bengal were present as Guests of Honour. The programme was presided by Dr. P.V.V. Prasad, Director, Central Ayurveda Research Institute, Kolkata. Dr. T.K. Mandal, Research Officer (Ay.) has offered vote of thanks. Dr. Asit Kumar Panja, Associate Professor, National Institute of Ayurveda, Jaipur; Dr. V.K.Lavaniya, Research Officer (Ay.) and Coordination of NAMASTE at CCRAS, Headquarters, New Delhi, Dr. Achintya Mitra , Research Officer (Ay.) Coordinator of NAMASTE at CARI, Kolkata , Dr. Buswaranjan Das, Research Officer ( Homoeopathy), NIIMH, Hyderabad were present physically as resource personnel and Dr. Saket Ram, Research Officer (Ay.) and Coordinator of NAMASTE at National Institute of India Medical History, Hyderabad; Dr. M. Kannan, Research Officer (Siddha) Siddha Central Research Institute, Chennai ; Dr. Usama Akram, Research Officer (Unani),

Central Council for Research in Unani Medicine, Headquarters, New Delhi were present as resource person through online. Hands on training was given on the disease morbidity coding system, data capturing and electronic health record system. 41 participants attended the workshop.
