News Stardom : Kolkata, 20th November 2022: Times are changing, and so are society and mindsets. The rituals which were earlier entirely male-dominated, are gradually making ways for women too, to be celebrated and prioritized just as their counterparts. Amongst those who are showing the light to society, in the process of this evolution is Indrani Ganguly, the Founder and Principal of Sristi Dance Academy. For the third year in a row, she has been organizing the event of Bonphota, the altered version of Bhaifota, to cherish and celebrate sisterhood.
Like the previous two years, this time too, Bonphota is being celebrated in a star-studded event, attended by Tollywood celebrities and eminent personalities from the administration. This year, the gala evening at ICCR saw veteran actresses Rituparna Sengupta, Debleena Dutta, Lily Chakraborty, Ratna Ghosal, Pramita Chakraborty, Arpita Bhattacharya, Rajnandini Ghosh and others from the entertainment and cultural world.

The event started with a performance from Sristi Dance Academy and was followed by a special programme by specially-abled children. Post that, the rituals started with the celebrities getting Bonphota from Indrani and a felicitation ceremony thereby.
Speaking about the initiative, Indrani Ganguly, Founder of SRISTI DANCE ACADEMY said, “We have been celebrating this out-of-the-box ritual since 2020.
