Adamas University hosts International Conference on Inclusive Education….

News Stardom : 17th.November, 2022 – The School of Education, Adamas University, has commenced its two-day Annual Flagship Event – EDUCLAVE 2022. The theme of Educlave is Role of Inclusive Education in creating a better Society for the Future.
The discussions were elaborated over various facets of inclusive education, its dimensions and subjects surrounding the inclusivity. The conference was inaugurated by Naveen Das, Vice Chancellor, Adamas University and Shauli Mukherjee, Director, School of Education and Associate Dean, School of Liberal Arts and Culture Studies, Adamas University in the presence of the delegates.
Keynote speeches were delivered by Nihad Bunar, Professor, Department of Special Education, Stockholm University and Jari Linikko, Director of Studies, Department of Special Education, Stockholm University. Nihad talked about the Inclusive education for migrants and refugees. According to him children must be provided with formal education and alternative flexible pathways for education. Jari shared his words about the different dimensions of Inclusive Education, such as physical, social, psychological and cognitive. He also throws light on regulations for students in need of special support and different obstacles faced by them.
A Panel Discussion on “Inclusive Environment” held another distinctive angle for exploration in this conference. The panelists for the forum were: Mina Sedem, Director of Studies, Department of Special Education, Stockholm University, Khaleda Gani Dutt, Senior Lecturer, Department of Special Education, Stockholm University, Elizabeth Ann Adams Lyngbäck, Senior Lecturer, Department of Special Education, Stockholm University and Helen Knutes Nyqvist, Senior Lecturer, Department of Special Education, Stockholm University. The principal issues discussed in the panel were “Inclusive Environments”, “Intergenerational and lifelong learning” and “Social justice”. The thunder catching moment of the conference comes with a Ramp Show by the special children. Swati Chakraborty, Deputy Director, Indian Institute of Celebral Palsy who is an Assistive Technologist & Film Maker also participated in this conference and has shared her views for the same.
