Spread the love

News Stardom : Pune, 25th. December, 2025. Hema and Hamida. Two women of different class and caste. When the school teacher Hema happens to meet the young hutment dweller Hamida, something about her helpless demeanour stirred Hema’s heart to reach out to her resulting in a close bonding and friendship. An impulsive act of kindness grows into a deep unspoken bond which neither had expected. Hema’s relentless efforts to make Hamida come out of her restrictions and social barriers and become financially independent meets with opposition from her family and friends but the biggest obstacle and threat was from the dangerously malicious Salimdada the lecherous Basti Don who has his eyes on Hamida.

He does not take Hamida’s rejection lightly and thus keeps on putting obstacles one after another to thwart their efforts and spirit. Yet neither of the woman bow down or compromise their values.

But then the road is not easy. In spite of her multiple personal problems. …what with raising a kid single handedly as her husband worked in Dubai…dealing with financial problems and a strained relationship …Hema stood beside Hamida forming a close bonding.

They are not alone in their journey. They get able support from the fierce, out spoken feminist the colourful matriarch Anwari Khala who shields Hamida from any adversities, just as Hema’s faithful colleague Amina provides the much needed support. In the midst of all this turmoil will Hamida be able to return the kindness of her benefactor when Hema finds herself struggling?

Does Hema’s dream of making Hamida financially stable materialise in the end?
Failing to overpower these two women…. Salim is ultimately forced to respect and salute these two women for their tremendous courage and integrity …watching Hema and Hamida come out with flying colours …ultimately reaching their goal.
This is not a story of grand valour or heroic deeds but of ordinary people, leading ordinary lives but doing their bit for the other purely on humanitarian grounds because it was the right thing to do and not for any rewards and awards but just as a call of the soul.
Read on to find the exciting challenging, inspirational and a ‘Slice of life’ story of these two very courageous women.
