Staff Reporter : Kolkata, 18th September, 2025: In an important step toward greater accessibility, Prof. Dr. Nirmal Kanti Chakrabarti, Vice Chancellor of the West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences (NUJS), handed over a Braille version of the Indian Constitution to the Hon’ble Speaker of the West Bengal Legislative Assembly, Shri Biman Bandopadhyay.

NUJS Kolkata is presently celebrating silver jubilee.

The initiative reflects NUJS’s focus on improving legal awareness among visually impaired individuals. The Braille edition is designed to provide easy access to the Constitution, ensuring that people with visual disabilities can engage with the nation’s key legal document.

The event was held at the West Bengal Legislative Assembly, where both emphasized the role of accessible legal materials in promoting equality and empowering all citizens.
