To honor his memory and lasting contributions, The Institute of Leadership, Entrepreneurship, and Development (iLEAD) is proud to inaugurate the newly renamed college library as R.L. Gaggar Library. This transformation creates an inspiring space for students who are passionate about books and dedicated to the pursuit of knowledge.
Mr. Gaggar, a highly respected legal expert, was known for his unwavering dedication to his work and his exceptional mentorship. His guidance helped shape the careers of many professionals, including Mr. Surender Dugar and Mr. Pradip Chopra, the founder of PS Group, a leading name in Kolkata’s real estate sector. For over decades, Mr. Gaggar provided invaluable legal advice and often offered his services free of charge to those in need.
A deeply compassionate man, Mr. Gaggar worked tirelessly well into his 80s, leaving an indelible mark on the real estate sector and beyond. His love for books and lifelong commitment to learning inspired many in his field. Even at the age of 80, he was known to finish two to three books each week, a testament to his thirst for knowledge.
The R.L. Gaggar Library, housing over 150,000 books, was officially inaugurated by a ribbon-cutting ceremony performed by his wife. The event was attended by a gathering of admirers and close associates who shared personal stories and memories of the legendary figure.
This library, named in his honor, will continue to serve as a beacon of knowledge, education and inspiration just as Mr. Gaggar did throughout his life. His legacy of service, integrity and love for learning will forever remain a guiding light for future generations.
