News stardom : Guwahati: 3rd. May 2022. NephroPlus, India’s largest dialysis network and a pioneer in redefining dialysis care in India, announced its entry in North East India by launching its new dialysis center in association with Guwahati’s heritage healthcare provider, Ayursundra Super Specialty Hospital. This collaboration aims to provide high-quality to dialysis patients. At the inauguration, Ms. Aimee Baruah, a renowned Assamese celebrity, and Mr. Sukaran Singh Saluja, Vice President of Operations, NephroPlus, were the Guests of Honor.

The new center offers a wide range of advanced dialysis care services including state-of-the-art Hemodialysis, Dialysis on Call, Sustained low-efficiency Dialysis (SLED) for critically ill patients, Home Hemodialysis, and Holiday Dialysis. NephroPlus’s commitment to investing in quality dialysis and related technologies also comes to the fore with its best-in-class RenAssure© Dialysis Protocols that minimize seroconversions and a mobile application to track medical history, consult doctors and dieticians, and much more.

Furthermore, separate sanitized beds and machines will be used for seropositive and seronegative patients to ensure every patient receives the best quality care possible and avoid cross-infections.

As per recent statistics, about 220,000 patients develop End-Stage Kidney Disease (ESKD) every year in India; but the current infrastructure of dialysis centers in India can only meet less than half of this demand. Every new dialysis center helps extend the life-saving treatment of dialysis to ESKD patients and substantially improves their quality of life.

Driven by a patient-centric approach where each patient is treated as a ‘guest,’ NephroPlus encourages individuals on dialysis to lead lives as close to normal as possible. It even organizes events like Dialysis Olympiad for dialysis patients to come together and play Olympic-like sports, or Aashayein for patients to engage with cross-functional experts like Nephrologists, Vascular Surgeons, Dieticians etc. This partnership, equipped with world-class facilities and experienced professionals, will focus on making quality dialysis accessible and affordable for all in these regions.

Commenting on the launch, Vikram Vuppala, Founder & CEO of NephroPlus, said, “Our decision to partner with Ayursundra Super Specialty Hospital is inline with the company’s strategy of entering the North East India market. The hospital is one of the leading healthcare providers in Guwahati, and they have set very high standards in medical care for the people.
