Moubani Sorcar : Actress & Dancer.
My Christmas dream today came true,
I’ve heard it happens only to a few,
Dirty shrivilled faces but deep honest eyes,
Were looking into mine with a question,
” I’m hungry ” that look would mention,
And … they were ready to take a million tries,
To be fed a little better,
I was covered in a red mask and sweater,
But the child had only his skin,
And maybe he had no means,
To cover up for winter,
The cold had made the little one’s lip splinter,
The eyes were ready for a rejection,
By my dream was not a golden imagination,
It came true,
Just like a Cinderella story,
I did gift many children in reality,
Warm woollens for the cold winters….
It was Christmas and kindness had flown from the unreal to the real,
The fairy Godmother was me and
I found myself at ease…
Finding Cinderella in the children on the streets,
Their hands were not soft, but hard and with many a crease…
The dream of a good Christmas was met as the eyes meet..
Those eyes, which repeated…I’m so hungry..
Were sparkling thinking of the newly found warmth in a sweater
by the Christmas tree.
Real life moments did prosper as in the dream within me.
I donated a sweater,
As everyone did so too a bit later,
That is how amongst the cruel the morbid and the tragic,
I had found in human existance real life magic.
