Digital Launch of West Bengal Hotels & Restaurants Council of WICCI…….

News Stardom : Kolkata, 15th. September, 2020. West Bengal Hotels & Restaurants Council of WICCI had it’s digital launch on 14 Sep 2020 on Zoom. The event was telecasted live on their Facebook page.

Apart from the council members, the event was well attended by WICCI dignitaries of the Eastern Region Council and members of other West Bengal based councils.

The event kick-started with the welcome address by President Prity Poddar, followed by a video message from Dr. Harbeen Arora, the Founder President of WICCI and speeches by the aforementioned dignitaries.

Vice President Usha Goswami presented a brief presentation about the vision and mission of the council.

This was followed by a panel discussion on ‘How COVID 19 pandemic has affected the hotels & restaurants industry?’

The panel discussion was moderated by Prity Poddar and ably participated by the following council members – Nandini Gupta – Director of La Fenicia, Neha Bagla Sanwaria – Hospitality Director of Saltee Group and Madhumita Mohanta – Executive Chef of The Lalit Great Eastern Kolkata.

The event concluded with the vote of thanks by Megha Agarwal.

Upon asking about their immediate projects, Ms Prity Poddar said, “We will pursue today’s discussion on the affects of COVID 19 pandemic on hotels & restaurants industry in more depth and detail with some industry experts.

Then, we plan to do orientation programmes with hotel institute students, so as to give them a glimpse of their future workspace.

We also plan to assist some underprivileged women in getting the required skill training to get absorbed in the food service industry.”

Supported by the massive global networks of ALL Ladies League (ALL) and Women Economic Forum (WEF), founded and headquartered in India, WICCI is the first national Business Chamber for women which is for the women and by the women.

WICCI and its manifold Councils at International, National, Regional, State, Sectoral and City levels, represents a wide variety of Sectors.
