9th.Sri Chaitanya janmotsav O Mela….

Most acclaimed and prestigious Sri Chaitanya janmotsav O Mela, 2023 at Bagbazar Durgotsav Maidan Kolkata inaugurate on Monday 6th February, 2023 at Bagbazar Sarbonin O Durga Puja Ground. This year this prestigious mela turns its 9th years of anniversary. This mela will end on 12th February, 2023. The Mela opend with a grand Nagar-Sankirtan Procession with an uncountable numbers of the mass, Gaudiya Mangalacharan and with the lamp lighting also.

The eight day long auspicious Mela inaugurated by Srimad Bhaktisundar Sanyasi Goswami Maharaj ( Acharya & President of Gaudiya Mission ).
Mr. Ashoke Kr. Ganguly (_Former Justice of Supreme Court), Swami Dibyajnananda (Bharat Sevaswram Sangha), Sri Sanjib Acharya (Chairman,Serum Group), Dr. Madhusudan Pal (CTVS, Ex. HOD, PG Hospital, Kolkata), Swami Tejasananda Saraswati, Head Pandit, Adyapith Balak Ashram Chatushpathi,Kolkata), Srimad Bandhugourab Brahmachari (Secretary, Mahanam Sampraday, Mahauddharan Math, Kolkata) and other eminent
personalities was present and graced their chair on 6 th February,2023.

Everybody on their valued deliverence discussed about the life and contribution of Shri Chaitanya mahaprabhu and the immense contribution of the then society and it’s importance in modern socio political scenario. In addition the sesquicentennial advent commemoration of Srila Bhakti Siddhanta Saraswati Goswami Prabhupad , The founder Gaudiya Mission is running globally in parallel way.

The celebration was inaugurated by His Exellency Shri Ramnath Kovind , Former Hon’ble President of India in 2022. On the upcoming days of the mela , authorities and dignitaries of different sphere of life will present their thoughts and rendering their talks in seminars organised by the executive committee, Bhaktasamnelon ,

cultural competitions and different cultural function will add an extra attraction of the mela to account the spirit of Gaudiya Vaishnavism. Exhibitions, Book Stall, Food Stall and many attractive stalls added extra attraction of this Mela.
